University of Hawaii suffers massive data breach

The confidential information of about 40,000 former students of University of Hawaii at Manoa was recently exposed in a massive data breach.Social Security numbers, grades, birth dates and other personally identifying information were all exposed. Officials from the Liberty Coalition in Washington, D.C., first alerted university officials on October 18 that confidential data was posted online. Survey finds nearly half of companies use third-party data loss prevention
